NMS dominated the City of Boston with 16 HD Projectors that lit up approximately 19,000 square feet of the East Facing Wall at the TD Boston Garden during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday Night. To fully understand the magnitude of this execution, the image below of the football field offers a great representation of scale.

Adidas was celebrating the lightest shoe in all  of basketball, the Adizero Crazy Light 2. Adidas contacted National Media Services to execute this larger-than-life display featuring the names of fans who joined the conversation on the adidas Basketball Facebook page to share what light gets them on the court. ESPN was all over this during the game. Check out the video here.  It was highlighted during the worldwide broadcast three times.

Eric Davis Chief Operating Officer at NMS said “this was without a doubt one of the greatest challenges our company has ever faced. Our crew rose to the challenge and got the job done. It was not pretty at times, but we did it.  Keep in mind we were working on this project without knowing if we were going to Boston or Philadelphia one week from launch. We found out, with the rest of the world, on Saturday night at 10:30pm when Boston beat Philadelphia where we were going and what we needed. Our team immediately mobilized. It was Memorial Day weekend, everything was closed down until Tuesday, that left us about  3½ days to make this all happen!

We rolled into Boston by the cover of night and had to work around the clock to get the image on the wall and give the client what they asked us for: a larger-than-life HD Projection Campaign .. and it WAS AWESOME. We salute Adidas and all of the agencies that were involved in this monumental effort.  As the owner of NMS, I have never been prouder of our team than I was at 8:15pm on Friday Night when the curtain went up and the image took over.”

Messi+Adidas+NMS=NYC Success!

Lionel Messi is a larger than life athlete, the adidas adizero f50 is the brand’s lightest soccer shoe.  Messi wears the adizero f50, so it is a pairing of epic proportions. The New York Metropolitan area played host to a friendly soccer game between Argentina and Brazil at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.  On the night of Friday June 8th, just a few miles away from MetLife Stadium, Argentina’s Leo Messi and the adizero f50 towered high above Manhattan’s West Side, as adidas celebrated the man (Messi), his shoe, and their fans.

NMS executed this huge HD Projection campaign that took up almost 9,000 square feet.  The display featured Messi in action as well as the names of fans who joined the conversation on the adidas soccer Facebook page. to share what light gets them on the soccer field.

When asked about the impact of this projection campaign, NMS Chief Operating Officer Eric Davis had this to say…”NMS has reached a new level in its evolution.  We can say without hesitation that we are not just an advertising vendor that specializes in unique out of home guerilla advertising campaigns.  NMS is a reliable advertising vendor capable of executing projects of massive scale in secured environments too. Volkswagen HD and Twitter Feed Projections

When you are celebrating the body of work that is legendary German electronic band Kraftwerk at of all places MoMA and simultaneously introducing your new vehicles at the New York International Auto Show you need to something magical to pull it all together for consumers. So Volkswagen of America  the  co-sponsor of the “Kraftwerk – Retrospective 12345678 at MoMA called on the Magicians at NMS to make some noise on the streets of New York City.
NMS secured a high profile location in SoHo for 15 consecutive nights and then had all eyes transfixed on the amazing creative that VW provided for this monumental event.   The creative consisted of a collage of user subbmitted GIF files entered for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the sold out Kraftwerk at MoMA shows.   Then on Kraftwerk’s 8 performance nights Kraftwerk, NMS streamed a real time twitter feed that was embedded in the creative.  There were tweets from the fans at the shows as well as the people on the streets that were interacting with the HD Projections.

NMS Chief Operating Officer Eric Davis states “VW had all the right moves here.  They found a way to emotionally connect consumers to the VW brand through an huge concert event and a street level deployment that was nothing short of amazing.  The greatest feat of all was powering this through the social media outlets.  The consumers endorsed the brand on Twitter and influenced other consumers.  You cannot ask for anything better than that. “  Davis goes on to say that “NMS has been married to social media for some time now and we continue to be committed to bringing advertisers technology that  makes those social media connections simple to do with their street level activations.”

The Dodge Dart is Back!

The Dodge Dart is back and to celebrate that fact Dodge hit the streets of New York City during the New York International Auto Show. Guerilla HD Projection specialists National Media Services were out each night when the sun went down  to bring consumers 6 Consecutive Nights of Guerilla HD Projections. Dodge selected locations throughout the entire city and specifically the areas that targeted the New York International Auto Show.  NMS scouted locations for this execution and provided the client with a number of viable locations each night.

Video Mapping At The Tribeca Film Festival

NMS continues to provide proof positive that advertisers do not have to spend tons of money on Video Mapping Projection Campaigns. Last month NMS did it for Rockstar Bagels in Austin, Texas during SXSW with great success. This month we did it in New York City around the Tribeca Film Festival  and executed a “never been done before” Guerrilla Video Mapping installation that featured the content of 8 different artists from as far away as France, Spain, Israel and Japan. Each artist had a few minutes to show off their best animated work.  Some artists had 3D content while others had content that we mapped to the building.  In all it was 22 minutes of amazing animations that had consumers hanging around for an average of 45 minutes just to see what we were going to show next.

Eric Davis Chief Operating Officer at NMS  said “I went to my team and challenged them to make this happen. We wanted to expose these incredibly talented animators to the Tribeca Film Festival crowd and maintain the NMS edgy approach to Video Mapping Projections by running this as a guerrilla execution.   NMS also wants to show advertisers that they can still have that cool “full on” consumer engagement that Video Mapping Projection executions create without having to spend more than six weeks in development and six figures to make it happen. Our goal is to size these down from the large scale spectaculars without sacrificing the spectacular part, give advertisers more nights, maintain the same quality that you would see in a larger event and bring Video Mapping to more markets where consumers that have never seen this live can have that exciting unique brand experience. NMS is opening those closed doors for advertisers that are wanting to do this and leading the way with smaller scaled secured and guerrilla high impact campaigns that still get the street buzz and the social media impressions from Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. “

American Express Jay-Z Concert Live Video Stream HD Projections at SXSW!

American Express took SXSW in Austin Texas by storm with an eight night HD Projection Campaign that included a one Night Only Live Stream featuring the world’s biggest Rap Artist Jay Z performing at the Moody Theater in Austin.  NMS secured the space for the event and made sure the client had the highest level of visibility for the area they selected.  This NMS execution created a tremendous presence for American Express at SXSW 2012. This program generated a great deal of buzz on the streets and on the internet through social media outlets.

Rockstar Video Mapping At SXSW!

Video Mapping Projections are affordable and NMS has found a way for these executions to fit most budgets.  If you have a client that wants to execute a Video Mapping Projection program,  but is scared off by the price tag often associated with this execution, please keep reading this story.
RockStar Bagels is a small privately owned bagel wholesale operation located in Austin. The company is slowly becoming a dominant force in the Capitol City when it comes to bagels.  It was their 3rd Anniversary and RSB wanted to celebrate their growth so they targeted the SXSW Music Festival which was the launching pad for the idea behind the company to begin with.   NMS was hired to do something cool, unique and impactful that made a connection with the SXSW audience.  RockStar Bagels had a small budget to work with but they loved the idea of Video Mapping, they also had very little time before the launch, so team NMS went right to work.  Joe Humel owner of RockStar Bagels was impressed!  He said, “I didn’t know what to expect, I know that NMS does great work, but I didn’t have the polished assets I was sure they were used to.  My logo is a hand drawn logo that a local artist created for me, our image is very low tech, the NMS team came to Austin, found a location, secured all the real estate,  took pictures of my product, spoke to me about my brand and the image, then a week later they shot me over the storyboard, soon after they sent me over sample scenes and updated me on the project twice a day, their customer service was “spot on” and they made me feel like I was part of the process.  After about three weeks, we had a final product that looked great.  The entire process was painless and the end results were spectacular.  I was excited to see RockStar Bagels at the largest event in Austin. “Eric Davis COO of NMS was also excited and ecstatic, “this was a challenging project because there were no slick assets to work with, everything was raw and we had to build this all from scratch and in less than 30 Days!  On top of that the client had a very limited budget.  To be able to do a project like this with a budget that was well below the hundreds and thousands of dollars that are associated with Video Mapping was proof positive that this projection execution is something that can be mainstreamed and is not limited to huge corporations with endless pools of advertising dollars.”

Cool Sculpting Gets Naked At SXSW!

CoolSculpting® got naked at SXSW 2012 in Austin.  NMS secured the space for the projections, than executed a HD and QR Code Projection campaign that ran for 9 consecutive nights during by SXSW.    The campaign introduced the CoolSculpting® brand to attendees at SXSW as well as creating a buzz on the streets in Austin.  CoolSculpting® also reported a high level of Twitter impressions as well as increased traffic on their website.

We Wear Our Sunglasses at Night At SXSW With Ray-Ban!

Ray-Ban is a music industry leader when it comes to image and fashion!  Their line of sunglasses has been an iconic brand for musicians since their inception in 1937.   To celebrate the brands relevance with bold-face names and masses alike, Ray-Ban engaged NMS to execute a 10 night guerilla HD Projection campaign.  NMS focused on locations throughout the city during SXSW hitting up all of the major parties and performances in the highest trafficked areas.  All eyes were on these HD Projections throughout the evening and the brand’s campaign was top-of-mind among the SXSW Audience.
